Interlibrary Loan Manager
Reporting to the Head of Storage and Delivery, the Interlibrary Loan Manager oversees a centralized service point in the main library, supervises staff and student employees, and works collaboratively with branch libraries, special collections, campus departments, and libraries worldwide to provide Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery services for OU faculty, students, staff, and borrowing institutions. Position Responsibilities ILL Department Operation Supervises and coordinates all Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery services and operations. Assists with daily operation of Interlibrary Loan lending and borrowing and Document Delivery processing as needed. Represents UL as Interlibrary Loan point of contact for GWLA - RSDD, TAE, and Rapid/ExLibris Assumes responsibility for maintaining copyright compliance and ordering requests under copyright restrictions. Assists patrons with questions regarding submission, verification, retrieval, and delivery of Interlibrary Loan and document delivery materials. Provides bibliographic instruction in person, over the phone, and via email as needed. Answers questions and handles complaints from patrons and borrowing institutions via phone, email, or in-person as primary contact for all communications. Uses Alma, ILLiad, and other interlibrary loan software to fill requests and meet patron and staff needs. Contributes, updates, and maintains content for the library website related to Interlibrary Loan. Researches and clarifies difficult to verify citations and elusive sources of materials. Maintains confidential records and reports related to Interlibrary Loan services. Communicates regularly with the staff of Interlibrary Loan departments worldwide by phone, email and OCLC status as needed. Uses data and assessment techniques to support evidence-base
