ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital – the fund-raising organization of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital – is currently looking for a Web Software Engineer III as follows. Provides technical leadership for the design, development, and implementation of distributed, multi-tier, J2EE software applications to ensure the effective design, development, integration, and deployment of ALSAC web applications. Assists IT/Interactive Media/Business teams in project scope definition and building functional requirements, detailing system inputs, processes, outputs, interfaces, performance, and acceptance. Works effectively with IT, Interactive Media, and QA teams throughout coding, unit testing, integration testing, and load testing. Provides leadership for the transformation of business/functional requirements into technical design documentation, which includes software design, files and database design, processing logic, and external interfaces. Participates in conceptualizing future products and exploration of emerging technologies. Incorporates and implements information on design "look and feel," as well as content from sales and marketing or outside design consultants for website. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 8 years technical, analytical, systems and programming experience. Experience may have been obtained concurrently and must include: 8 years of experience in HTML, JavaScript, JSP, Java, JDBC, PL/SQL, XML and protocols that include LDAP, SMTP, SSL, SOAP and HTTP; 8 years of experience with UNIX-Shell Scripting, Apache, Oracle, and Weblogic; 8 years of experience with multi-threaded programming, transaction isolation strategies, deadlock avoidance, caching strategies, and J2EE framework challenges; and 8 years of experience in eBusiness, eCommerce, and eMarketing techniques. recblid 7tts8gyhxpmvv41k924vplhe0nxvgc
