Avonworth Primary Center (Avonworth School District) is currently accepting applications for qualified candidates for anticipated openings for the 20-21 school year - second semester. Multiple positions may be available as a general education teacher in K-2 to ensure social distancing for the return of full instruction in spring 2021. Successful candidates may be required to teach virtually and/or in-person. Applicants should be proficient with Common Core curriculum standards, strong language arts background and integration of technology. Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee: During the 2016-2017 school year, the District formed the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee in collaboration with families in the District. Committee meetings have been held during each school year since the formation of the committee. The purpose and goal of these meetings have been to gather input from our families regarding issues or concerns around diversity, equity, and inclusion. The committee has provided valuable input and has helped to generate many actions taken by the District to address Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. Curriculum: Having a curriculum that is representative of a diverse world and multiple perspectives is imperative in order for children to learn, grow, and become productive members of society.
