POSITION SUMMARY: This is a senior technology leadership position providing vision, direction, and governance for Milliman's global technology architecture and shared capabilities. This role will also provide leadership in the day-to-day technology development, maintenance, and operation for all of Milliman's corporate functions such as Finance, Marketing & Communications, Human Resources, and overall Enterprise Architecture. This is a critical role and responsible for directing the program to develop, maintain, enhance, and evolve Milliman's Enterprise Architecture (EA) capability across the company, to enable Milliman's Global IT Vision. This role must ensure the department is providing efficient and effective technical support services to every level within Milliman. The Technology & Architecture Sr. Director role will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and is part of the GCS (Global Corporate Services) group. This person also works closely with Milliman's technical steering groups to set operational goals, objectives, and service level agreements. The role manages internal staff, contractors, and external vendors to implement the IT strategy including projects and daily tasks. This person must be passionate about relationship building, process improvement, technical and architectural excellence, and team development. As an upbeat leader this person will build integrated partnerships across all areas of Milliman. The Sr. Director is responsible for defining the mission of their team, inspiring, and motivating them to pursue that mission, and setting strategic goals for them to achieve in that pursuit. This person will provide a balanced understanding of business and technical objectives and their guidance is sought out because their decisions drive the best outcomes for both.
