This position is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Investigations Division of the Eugene Police Department. We are looking for a positive, highly productive and detail-oriented individual that enjoys providing exemplary customer service and support to staff and the community. This position performs a variety of related clerical duties including customer service, word processing, data entry, office equipment and supply monitoring/ordering and support to department staff. The City of Eugene will follow all required COVID vaccinations, exceptions, and guidelines based on the essential functions of the position. Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday Work Location: Eugene Police Department Headquarters, 300 Country Club Rd., Eugene OR Salary Range: $21.52-$26.81 hourly Qualifications: The City will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications. Examples of Duties Performed - Duties may include but are not limited to the following Managing calendars for division leadership. Answering calls and providing information to internal callers as well as citizens; explains processes and requirements, determines when to contact appropriate staff for assistance. Document creation including preparing correspondence; selects, compiles and evaluates materials and information; proofreads and edits documents for accuracy, spelling and punctuation; ensures the inclusion of all pertinent information. Tracking and maintenance of data and equipment. Maintains complex computerized record keeping systems, including reporting data points to comply with government regulations. Enters information into financial systems; monitors and tracks financial processes and payments; assigns appropriate codes to transactions; may assist with budget preparation and monitoring; processes training packets for department members. Sets up and maintains computerized files to track data which may include spreadsheet tabulations and calculations and modifying criteria for queries to extract data.
