Responsible for managing all kitchen operations to provide an excellent dining experience for all guests by directing and participating in food and beverage preparation;
Ensure an efficient work environment by modifying, creating and/or enforcing procedures and processes to meet deadlines.
Create and enforce standards for plating and presentation.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by inspecting facilities and equipment to ensure regulatory compliance; and other duties as assigned.
Ensure customer satisfaction 100% of the time through the creation and presentation of great food that consistently meets or exceeds restaurant standards.
Ensure all portioning, plating, and preparation is completed consistently including the size of food items that have been cut.
Ensure that all kitchen staff duties are performed in accordance to company standards.
Keep wasted food under 7%.
Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance.
Demonstrate an exceptional record punctuality and attendance of your staff by maintaining proper staffing levels and having no more than two services per month that are short staffed.
Satisfy all assigned budget requirements and consistently perform all duties in a responsible and efficient manner.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
SOUS CHEF REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive knowledge of food, beverage, and service industry.
2 + year experience working in a professional kitchen.
Inventory and data management experience.
Knowledge and experience in all roles of the kitchen.
Be able to operate basic restaurant equipment, including but not limited to stove, oven, knives, utensils, mixers, etc.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and/or weekends
Team leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills bilingual English/Spanish.
Motivated and flexible with a positive attitude.
HEAD LINE COOK REQUIREMENTS:
Prepares food in the kitchen.
Works one or more kitchen stations, including grill, broil, or fry.
Receives directions from cook.
Reports to kitchen manager.
Report any equipment malfunctions.
Organizes and maintains all food products in the walk-in and freezer. Follows product rotation.
