Research Associates - Job ID #91392 : Develop & test alternate finishing methods for composite and metallic materials to improve speed and quality. BS in Mech. Eng, Aerospace Eng. or related. 2 yrs. exp. working in research laboratory w/equipment & calculations for machining & measuring composite & metallic tolerances. Ability w/rudimentary machining techniques, equipment, programming methods, and tolerances, incl. drilling machines, hand tools, dimensional measurement devices such as micrometers and calipers. Ability to read & understand engineering drawings as found in ASTM or other test standard practices. Ability w/CATIA & Microsoft Office suite. Except where noted otherwise, all positions require a BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace) and the above specific experience.
