Summary Description This role is responsible for generating awareness for Des Moines Performing Arts (DMPA) engagements and institutional initiatives by managing and executing earned media strategies, managing playbill production, supporting the organization's EDI efforts and writing content for publicity-related communications. Essential Functions and Responsibilities * Manage and execute publicity strategies for all shows. Collaborate with press agents in developing publicity strategy per show; identify pitches, key media outlets, and key messaging; execute tactics outlined in publicity strategies; write news releases and advisories; assure all publicity assets are current and shared with media while web-site is updated working with Digital Experience Specialist; coordinate earned media-related social media posts; assist with social media schedule in collaboration with team members; maintain current media list of statewide arts and entertainment contacts; provide publicity guidance for rental shows as needed; update community calendars. * Manage all aspects of advance publicity and in-town press: create talking points for media appearance memos; submit interview requests to press agents; schedule talent and media times; ensure accuracy of cast names and bios; schedule transportation for cast; oversee all press night needs-determining/coordinating-invitation lists and negotiating special ticketing needs as needed. * Coordinate and oversee playbill production: partner with outside vendor to plan production and delivery schedules; coordinate show-based content with press agents; manage institutional content with internal team focused on institutional strategy and deadlines; ensure accuracy of all presented information; create original content as needed; oversee approval process with show press agents. * Lead efforts to position non-revenue/institutional initiatives (Community programs, IHSMTA, Applause Series and other education-based initiatives as needed) via publicity, community engagement, social media and other strategies. * Track and analyze DMPA's publicity efforts on a single show and organization-wide basis. * Coordinate show needs between marketing and ticketing, specifically -but not limited to comps. * Coordinate and ensure the
