WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING This Project Manager position is a highly responsible role involving complete management of the operations and maintenance of water and/or wastewater utilities. Duties involve advanced technical work that require a comprehensive understanding of operations, processes, regulations and best practices to ensure that clean wastewater, safe drinking water and thoughtful, environmental stewardship are afforded to our clients and external stakeholders. This position is responsible for providing management, oversight and direction for the crews performing the technical, supervisory, and administrative functions of the water and wastewater systems operations and associated maintenance activities. This role may also oversee nearby, smaller operational contracts. Additional duties entail significant interaction, both written and verbal, with various commissions, boards, consultants and other public entities. Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities: Supervises and participates in the preparation, administration, and monitoring of operation, maintenance and capital budgets. Monitors and controls operations to meet established goals. Maintain regulatory and contractual compliance of the project. Administers management policies and directives, trains and evaluates subordinate staff including administering discipline as required. Responsible for project cost performance. Manages Contract Compliance as it relates to the agreement between Sturgeon Bay Utilities and Suez. Initiates and negotiates claims and additional services. Supports bus
