Must be twenty - one (21) y ears of age. 2. N o felony conviction 3 . Certified Fireman must provide valid proof of training accepted by the State of Illinois 4. Certified Patrolman must have proof of 400 hours of mandatory police trainin g accepted by the State of Illinois (e.g., Police Training Institute - PTI). 5. Must furnish a copy of Military Service DD214 6 . M ust furnish copy of High School Diploma or Certified GED 7 . Copy of Social Security Card 8. M ust furnish a copy of Birth Certificate 9. M ust furnish a copy of Valid Driver's License 10. Undergo a Criminal History Invest i gation 11 . Have no Police or F i re rejection within the last tw o ( 2) years 12. Pass a Written Examination, Physical Agility, Psychological, Medical Examination and Drug Testing 13. Must furnish three (3) Letters of Reco mmendation 14. Must establish residency with the City of East St. Louis within ninety (90) days following the completion of their probationary period.
