Tampa, FL Engineering design firm seeks a Mechanical Designer to confer & assist other central mechanical engg personnel in dvlpng highly detailed structural designs; research, evaluate, design & dvlp mechanical products & systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines & mechanical, thermal hydraulics to meet reqmnts; dvlp heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, & use of energy; apply the research to the planning, design, dvlpmnt, & testing of mechanical & electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, & machines; establish, analyze, & maintain self-diagnostic & fault detection methods; assist drafters in the dvlpmnt of process flow diagrams for products using CAD software; design features & behaviors for products in collaboration w/ firmware & integration engineers; dvlp & optimize product designs in 3D CAD software w/ associated CAE tools; establish the appropriate supply of piping materials & equipment to coordinate specification reqmnts w/ equipment vendors; create, read, & interpret reports such as Engineering Studies & Basis of Design; oversee & maintain operation of an entire multi-fuel storage & distribution system; initiate, control, & terminate fuel transfers throughout the tank farm system.
