Graphic Designer - Entry Level

RESPONSIBILITIES NSA Overview The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information.The National Security Agency is looking for Graphic Designers with up-to-date knowledge to interpret client's needs and design solutions with high visual impact. Graphic Designers will work on a variety of products, including posters, brochures, displays, logos and branding. Graphic Designers at the National Security Agency coordinate with art directors, designers, and internal clients, using the technical expertise of graphic design, typography, color theory, print technology and exhibit design principals and their experience on state-of-the-art graphic workstations and with high-end graphic software. Description of the PositionThe responsibilities of a Graphic Designer include:- Managing the client's expectations by providing project production schedules- Presenting ideas and prepare rough drafts and client proofs- Working with a variety of media and use graphic design software- Thinking creatively to develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts- Amending final designs to clients comments and gain full approval- Working as part of a team with Art Directors, Graphic designers, Photographers, etc. SKILLS The ideal candidate is someone with a desire for continual learning and who possesses strong communication (oral and written), problem-solving, analytic, interpersonal skills, and is:- Flexible and versatile- Able to manage multiple projects- Able to develop creative and original concepts- Able to interact, communicate and present concepts and ideas- Up to date with the industry leading Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop.- Proficient in typography- Professional regarding managing deadlines and receiving feedback PAY BENEFITS & WORK SCHEDULE This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
