Who we are: WVIA is the PBS and NPR affiliate serving over 22 counties in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. WVIA's programs can also be found streaming live and on-demand on wvia.org and the WVIA app. We are located in Pittston, PA, just minutes from Interstate 81 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. What is the role? The Grants Manager is a new role with WVIA and reports to the Chief Development Officer. This role is charged with overseeing WVIA's overall grant efforts. The Manager will continue to steward existing grants and funder relationships, in addition to seeking new funding relationships and opportunities. Typical duties include strategizing on funders and initiatives, writing all aspects of the grant application, managing the stewardship process, creating reports on deliverables, budget expenses, and reporting on outcomes needed by funders, state and federal grant making agencies, and internally. The Manager will be seeking funding opportunities from local, regional community and family foundations, EITC participating companies, state, county and federal grant makers, and national private foundations. What are the role responsibilities? Conducts the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundations and other grant sources. Serves as Project Manager for awarded grants. Serves as Principal Investigator for research on foundations and other funders to evaluate prospects for foundation grants. Partners with finance team to gather information necessary to report to foundation/grant funders on current grant programs. Complies with all grant reporting as required by foundation/grant funders. Provides stewardship to current funders. Maintains current records in a database, including grant tracking and reporting. Assists with other fundraising projects as requested.
