Position: Fleet Maintenance Technician (Full-Time; Non-Exempt) Department: Support Services - City Garage Job Summary: The Fleet Maintenance Technician has the primary responsibility to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostic work and repairs on all vehicles and equipment for City of Owasso. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Support Services Director, with day-to-day reporting to Vehicle Maintenance Superintendent, and does not have supervisory responsibilities. Schedule: • 40 hour workweek Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. • On-call flexibility required for occasional after- hour calls Essential Functions • Perform vehicle preventive maintenance such as oil and filter changes including oil, air, cabin, hydraulic, and fuel filter replacements, and tire rotation and replacements • Perform complete and extensive problem diagnostics, and identify problems using advanced diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams and technical manuals to make repairs as needed on diesel, gasoline, and CNG powered engines in all types of vehicles and equipment by all manufacturers • Perform repairs on all vehicles and equipment sub-systems, such as Steering and Suspension, Brakes, HVAC, Drivetrain, Electrical and Hydraulics • Install aftermarket components, such as emergency lighting, two-way radio systems, and additional equipment required for the unit • Input unit data into fleet maintenance program to accurately create and complete work orders • Help maintain cleanliness and organization of repair shop • Perform fabrication, welding or roadside repairs as needed • Perform other duties as assigned in a positive manner which supports the vision and strategic objectives of the division/department and the entire organization of the City of Owasso Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience - • High school diploma or GED equivalent • Valid Oklahoma driver's license wit
