Director of Diversity, Inclusi
Lead the collaborative effort of the law school's faculty, staff, and students to develop, implement, and support programs and services that increase diversity, promote inclusion, a sense of community, and the discussion of difference within and outside the classroom. The Director will also develop, implement, and support programs and initiatives that advance students' understanding of and capacity for leadership. The Director will also lead training and support initiatives for faculty, administrators, and staff in the law school on topics of equity, inclusion, and leadership development. Minimum Requirements Master's or terminal degree in a relevant area of study. Six years of relevant professional experience. Professional Competencies Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and with a variety of constituents. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to inspire and work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, alumni, and other stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to 1) work effectively with students, staff, and faculty from culturally diverse backgrounds and with multiple intersectional identities; and 2) advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the university community. Preferred Qualifications Significant professional experience in student development work related to diversity, inclusion, and leadership. Demonstrated ability to envision, identify, develop and implement systems, policies, and programs to foster a healthy and inclusive law school community. Prior experience with a broad range of client interactions, including, at minimum, racial, ethnic, religious, geographic, sexual identity, gender identity, and socioeconomic status diversity. This position reports to the law school Dean of Students.
