We guide profoundly gifted middle and high school students. Profoundly gifted students score in the 99.9th percentile on IQ and achievement tests and think and learn differently than other students. We provide highly gifted young people with an education matched to their abilities in an environment with intellectual peers that supports their unique strengths and intellect. Our vision is to challenge, nurture, educate, and inspire our brightest students so they can change the world. In conjunction with the Student Services team, work to develop and maintain a student services and counseling program for profoundly gifted students through one-on-one meetings with students, classroom discussions, community meetings, and student events. Through these means, help students to develop academic, social, emotional, personal skills and understanding. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - not necessarily in order of priority, include the following. Assigned job tasks/duties are not limited to the essential functions. Assists students, individually or in groups, through regularly scheduled meetings (or as needed) by developing academic, career, and personal/social skills, goals, and plans. Collaborates with parents/guardians and educators to assist students with post-secondary education, which may include career and college planning or referrals to other staff or outside professionals. Provides individual and group counseling to students with identified concerns and needs (i.e., executive function strategies, study skills, advocating needs with teachers). Assists teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders in interpreting and understanding student data. Assists administrators and other staff member
