Equal Opportunity Employer ________________________________________ Visit http://www.osbar.org/osbcenter/openings.html for full job details. ________________________________________ We are looking for someone to edit, write, copyedit, and assist with planning and publication for the Oregon State Bar (OSB) Bulletin and other publications. PART TIME - 20 hours per week ________________________________________ What you will do: Edit publications for substance, format, grammar, style, and readability using AP style with some custom modifications. Proofread, as necessary, throughout production. Write, research, and edit news-based sections of the Bulletin, including items submitted by members and updates on OSB programs and policies. Write, research, and edit features for the Bulletin in collaboration with the Editor. Work with volunteers, outside contributors, and freelance authors on columns and feature article development and provide guidance concerning the publications process. Serve as in-house photographer for features, profiles and news items for the publication. Work with other editorial and production projects of the department, including writing and copyediting of marketing and public education materials. Model behavior and practices that value diversity and incorporates inclusive and culturally competent practices. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in journalism or other related field. Two years of experience writing, editing, copyediting, and proofreading for print publications.
