The Department of Surgery at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University is accepting applications for two faculty position. The Division of Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery is seeking two Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to qualify for the rank of the Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include seeing patients in the outpatient clinic at one or more of our office locations and performing both elective and emergency endovascular and open vascular surgery cases at the attending level. The scope of practice will include all aspects of a contemporary vascular surgery practice. This will include medical management, as well as inpatient and outpatient procedures for the management of the full spectrum of vascular disorders, including cerebrovascular disease, A-V access, dialysis access, abdominal and thoracic aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease, venous disease, and other arterial and venous disorders. Interested candidates should have excellent clinical judgement, technical skills, professionalism, and demonstrate a strong interest in and history of peer-reviewed publications.In addition to clinical duties, the incumbent will teach medical students, residents, fellows, and physician extenders. Responsibilities include participation in the academic, and research missions of the University and the Department of Surgery.
