Accountant III

The Accountant III The Accountant III reports to the Director of Accounting with latitude for technical judgement in accomplishment of most phases of work. The Accountant III performs professional accounting work (some advanced), with administrative responsibility for all aspects of Accounts Payable and inventory. Work involves setting up and maintaining controls and records over certain special projects and maintaining all accounting and recording keeping for grants, while interpreting policies and procedures in accomplishing work assignments. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes Lamar State College Orange to obtain criminal history record information. Salary: Commensurate with experience, minimum of $45,000; State of Texas benefits + Retirement.
